Caper Multitask Chair Flexnet Black
Designer: Jeff Weber / Shown with a FLEXNET seat
The Caper multipurpose chair has a biomechanical tilt for a synchronous motion. One chair provides a variety of solutions--meeting spots, multipurpose rooms, workstation guest seating, drop-in and hoteling workstations, conference rooms, team areas, break-out spaces, and training areas. Caper works in the office and beyond--retail, hospitality, education, health care, and recreational environments. One chair fits all kinds of different people as it supports many different work styles.
Caper chairs weigh about half as much as competitive models. A stack of 6 chairs on the floor can be easily rolled into action or into storage; up to 15 chairs can be stacked on the special Caper cart. Uses valuable floor space efficiently.
The contoured, flexible seat and back evenly distribute weight, minimize pressure points, and let the user move freely. The seat and back are perforated with small holes to help keep the sitter cool.
The Caper chair's components are constructed from steel, plastic, and aluminum. The Caper chair is up to 100 percent recyclable at the end of its useful life. Caper is comprised of 21 percent recycled materials. This figure breaks down to 15 percent post-consumer and 6 percent pre-consumer recycled content.
A Hard-Working, Earth-Friendly Chair - To develop a solution for hard-working, multiuse spaces, Herman Miller built on its extensive work chair research base and applied it to secondary seating. The result is the Caper chair, designed by Jeff Weber, of Stumpf/Weber + Associates for ergonomic comfort, space efficiency, and multipurpose use. In keeping with Herman Miller's commitment to environmental stewardship, Caper uses a high percentage of recycled content and is 100 percent recyclable. Its design requires minimal use of materials and components, which also minimizes production costs. Caper-both the multipurpose stacker and the multitask chair-weighs an average 50 percent less than competitive products. This results in a significant reduction in raw materials and energy consumed in its manufacture, and a corresponding decrease in the amount of material to recycle at the end of the chair's life cycle.
Warranty: 12-year, 3-shift warranty - Like all Herman Miller products, Caper chairs are durable for long-term performance and value. As a statement of our confidence in their quality, Caper chairs are covered by the Herman Miller Warranty-a straightforward promise that we stand behind that quality 100 percent. The 12-year, 3-shift warranty covers all standard elements and includes labor on all warranty work.
